Holy Unholy Trinity, Batman! Glee is currently filming its 100th episode, Season 5, Episode 12: "100," and the cast and crew can’t stop tweeting about Brittany (Heather Morris), Santana (Naya Rivera), and Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) musical number.
Exactly which song the Unholy Trinity will perform hasn’t been confirmed, but we’ve heard plenty of rumblings that it’s very likely to be Britney Spears's "Toxic." We are fully on board with that choice!
The New Directions first performed the song during Season 2, Episode 2: “Britney/Brittany,” but now that it’s getting an encore for Episode 100, the trio gets a shot at performing their own version.
It all went down early in the morning on January 20. Naya Rivera started off the Twitter storm, writing, “Early morning at Glee. Two words for you, Unholy. Trinity. #Glee100”
Director of Photography Joaquin Sedillo wrote back, “@NayaRivera ... Yep, Unholy! Trinity! But you forgot "WOW!" #JOAQUINthegleeDP”
What we know for sure: The number will take place in the McKinley choir room, and New Directions both past and present will be there to watch. “Three really PURTY girls singin' & dancing in the choir room today. Trinity of sorts. #100thepisode” Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) wrote.
While the performance is sure to be sexy, Kevin McHale (Artie) teases that there’s more to it. “Can't stop laughing, this number is too good. Hell of a way to start the week.” he tweeted.
Although we’re sure all three of the girls were in top form, Glee’s behind-the-scenes content creator Kalen G made sure to call out one long-absent lady in particular.
“@DiannaAgron is one of the loveliest people you will ever meet. So fun seeing her back on the set. Killing this number. #glee100” she wrote.
There’s no doubt about it: This Holy Trinity number sounds pretty much flawless. We can’t wait to see how the final performance turns out!
