Aunt Jenna: We have confirmation that Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning) will definitely be in the episode. One can only hope this means boyfriend Alaric will be stopping by, as well. (Also, that she doesn’t run into Klaus, aka the vamp who killed her. Awkward!)
Klaus Mikaelson: Odds are pretty high that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be in the 100th ep (hopefully, that’s not just our wishful thinking talking). We know for certain that he will be returning to Mystic Falls in a future episode, and given that this episode is Katherine-centric, it makes sense that he would be around. After all, he was the one who drove her to vampirism.
Tyler Lockwood: Though we’ve gotten no confirmation that Tyler (Michael Trevino) will be in the 100th episode, it’s kind of hard to imagine the episode without him in it given that he is still a part of the TVD cast and this is an episode that is bringing as many current and former characters together as possible. Also, we know that Klaus will be returning to Mystic Falls with someone in tow. Did the Original hybrid release Tyler from The Garden as a favor to Caroline? Yes, please!
Alaric Saltzman: It’s hard to imagine a reunion-esque episode without one of the most popular TVD characters of all time absent — especially given that Jenna, a character so entwined with Alaric (Matt Davis), is definitely going to be featured in the episode. Fingers so tightly crossed that Ric will make an appearance, too!
Rebekah Mikaelson: As much as we’d like to see Rebekah (Claire Holt) make the jump back from The Originalsto TVD for an episode, we’re not sure it is in the cards. She doesn’t have much reason to come back, especially given everything that’s going down in New Orleans. Still, Matt could use a hug.
Anna Zhu: We’ll always miss Anna (Malese Jow), aka the homeschooling vamp who fell in love with Jeremy only to be slaughtered in the Season 1 finale massacre, but we’re not sure if her casual return serves much narrative purpose — especially with the Bonnie/Jeremy romance still relatively new (well, in its corporeal form). That being said, we’ll never say no to more Anna!
Vicki Donovan: Kayla Ewell (Vicki) made it to the 100th episode party, so we’re not completely ruling a return out, but it has been a long time since Vicki bit it (pun totally intended). We’d love to see Vicki reunited with brother Matt again, if only because the blue-eyed busboy is one of the most neglected characters on the show, but we’re not holding out too much hope.
Which characters do you think will be making an appearance in the 100th episode? Which ones do you most want to return? Sound off in the comments below!
