Big Brother 16: Caleb’s Instagram Shows Gay Slur, President Obama As “Muslim Monkey”

Here we go again!

Big Brother 16 premieres June 25 on CBS, with a new cast of first-time Houseguests. And while no one really wants a repeat of last summer's controversial BB15, fans have been going through the 2014 cast's social media and finding some interesting things.

One of the new HGs is Caleb Reynolds, a 26-year-old adventure hunting guide from Texas who now lives in Kentucky (when he's not in the Big Brother house).

Caleb's Instagram was recently shut down, after a fan dug up a potentially controversial post. Most of Caleb's Instagram was filled with selfies showing off his body — just as you'd expect from a guy who named his account "insain_physique" — but here's what one BB fan also found, from when President Obama was re-elected:

In case you can't read what's shown from Caleb, Big Brother Spice typed it up, with spelling errors as written: "you believe in murder? You agree with fags? I guess so but I don't agree with murdering. A innocent baby which he clearly doesn't mind. Nothin has changed in these last four years. You know it. Your just a democrat that wants that muslim monkey in office. Im done with you your dismissed."

Yikes. It's one thing to be anti-Obama, plenty of people are, but "muslim monkey"? And "fags"? Didn't we just go through this last summer? Still, we'll keep in mind that this was some time ago and on his personal page, well before he knew he'd be in the public eye. It was also before fans raged against the racist/homophobic comments on BB15, and hopefully everyone this season knows better than to open that can of worms.

Caleb hasn't said anything in the house at all yet, and he may end up a fan favorite across the board. Who knows. But it is curious how much damage control The Powers That Be had to do last year, and then they cast someone whose own social media statements just follow the same trend.

What do you think about Caleb's post? Much ado about nothing or are you disgusted that he was cast?
