Fashion ID: An ‘Anthropologie’ of Glee

The costume designers behind the fashion on Glee have made it their mission to give each individual character their own distinctive style. And just as you're unlikely to see Quinn wear neon zebra print, you're just as unlikely to see Mercedes in an eyelet sundress. There are two characters, however, that share a similar sense of style. Gravitating towards frilly blouses, preppy skirts, and classic cardigans, both Rachel Berry and Emma Pillsbury wear their prim and proper fashions with ease. (Though we're pretty sure Emma would never be seen in knee-high argyle socks, thank God.) In fact, their sensibilities are so alike, they even shop at the same stores! (And it's one of our faves, too!) On the Season 1 Finale of Glee, Rachel took a girly spin on the nautical trend with an Anthropologie seersucker skirt and a ruffly short-sleeved sweater. Emma rocked not one but two Anthropologie pieces for a retro and playful color-coordinated look. The skirt was seen once before in Episode 1.6, "Vitamin D," which just goes to show that even the most infallible style stars can be fashion repeaters.
