Anatomy of an Outfit: Emma’s Triumphant Return

The season finale of Glee was certainly bittersweet, but among the many things to celebrate and shed a tear for, we found ourselves grinning when we saw Emma after her brief hiatus. Not that we don't love Kurt's experimental style — did anyone see that sailor hat? — but we need our weekly dose of Emma's too cute retro vibe! Just like her unprecedented screaming match with Principal Figgins, Emma's mismatched mustard and navy prints were bold, but the crisp white shirt collar and classic shapes pulled everything together. It'll be a long few months to wait until we see more of Emma's fantastic wardrobe, but this is certainly a great look to remember her by. Mr. Schue was certainly taken by it — how 'bout that kiss?!

Try on Emma's stellar style for size:

1: Emma would approve of the overbblown floral graphic on this simple fitted cardigan. J.Crew Canterbury Bells Cardigan, $88; 2: Wear a thin button-down to avoid bulkiness. Merona Lightweight Camp Shirt, $15; 3: The unique print on this demure skirt gives it a modern update. Forever21 Cultured Woven Skirt, $19.80; 4: These pretty flats are perfect from everything from a weekday faculty meeting to a weekend picnic. Vaneli for Jildor Andee Flat, $55.
