Anatomy of an Outfit: Hanna, We See Right Through You
Why, Hanna, why? Whywould Hanna wear a sheer sparkle top over a black belly shirt? And then, to pair it with an oversize cardigan! We tried to think of possible explanations: she just came from a wet t-shirt contest. She’s taking belly dancing classes. She left the house on laundry day.
Alas, we’re unable to account for Hanna’s momentary loss of fashion sanity. We’re therefore left with no other choice than to correct her obvious misdoing: if the devoted followers of PLL want to wear see-through clothing, then at least they’ll do it right! For starters, avoid white when going for sheer. We want to be pretty— not trashy — liars, after all. A brighter color or a darker neutral will somewhat disguise the fact that people can stare right through this clothing. If sheer is a mistake, glittery and sheer is a total disaster, so keep it casual with a basic cotton. Since the top will be getting most of the attention, stick to simple pieces for the rest of the look — dark wash denim, leather boots, and stud earrings. For a more adventuresome look, play with a pop of color with a standout handbag. At least Hanna got that right!
