Is Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Abusing Steroids?
Bad news, Jersey Shore fans: some jealous gorillas out there are accusing The Situation of being abusing steroids. Is this true, or are these wannabes just drunk on Haterade? We did the legwork to find out!
If you don’t know how The Situation got his nickname (or if you do and just want to hear the thrilling tale again), we’ll give you a quick refresher. Once upon a time, Mike was hanging out shirtless at a nightclub, as he so often does. The ladies were so distracted by his taut midriff that they forgot about their boyfriends, causing Mike’s fellow juicehead to dub the whole thing a situation. Brilliant, no? And just like that, a star was born.
Don’t be fooled, though: Mike’s gleaming abs are a product of his stringent GTL regimen, as we’ve seen on the show. And believe it or not, The Situation has a life outside of the Shore — when he’s not on MTV, Mike is a career gym manager. Given his meathead occupation, it stands to reason that he’d be naturally buff.
But some inside sources (i.e., old jock buddies from high school) tell us that Mike’s arms are to too large for his weight class. They also point out the fact that most gym employees have easy access to anabolic steroids, and that many of them are regular users. After all, who would want someone that looks like Vinny to be their personal trainer? (We would!)
Still, that’s just the opinion of a few juiceheads — not all of them. The general assumption is that Mike is as narcissistic in real life as he acts on Jersey Shore, and so he probably spends as much time in the gym as he does staring into the mirror. We’ll give Mike the benefit of the doubt until we have reason to suspect otherwise. Until then, here’s a short clip of Mike talking about his favorite thing in the world: Himself!
