In case you haven't noticed, Ellen Pompeo is pretty hot stuff. And with millions of viewers watching her in and out of scrubs every week, she obviously wants to keep herself fit. So what's her secret? Is sobbing uncontrollably over your character's wounded husband good for the abs? Maybe. But Ellen also spends a lot of her time breaking a sweat off the set. "I have a trainer," she tells OK! Magazine. "I do strength work, stretching, endurance, and boxing." E's also been spotted taking yoga classes, sometimes even with tow-headed daughter Stella Luna.
As for her diet, Ellen says she tries to stay away from junk food during the week and eats six small meals a day. (But on the weekend, all food is fair game for her, like her favorite sweet treat, Dove ice cream bars.) The Grey's actress also wants to see all her fellow mamas out there at the gym and on the trails. "We say we don't have time for exercise. Well, you can walk with your kids. You can bike with them. [...] You can think of ways to improve your whole family. You can spend time together as a family and take care of yourself." Ahem, doctor's orders!
