Ty Brown and Chris Lambton Both Asked to be The Bachelor
Now they're just messing with us. On the heels of Reality Steve's dish that the Season 15 Bachelor is probably going to be a repeat of Brad Womack, People magazine says at least two guys from Ali Fedotowsky's season of The Bachelorette have been asked to be The Guy.
Fan favorite Chris Lambton and Nashville singer Ty Brown have had offers extended to them, but neither has confirmed yet, a source tells People, adding "there may be one or two other men still under consideration." (Like Brad!)
The new season will start in January which means they need to start production next month. Last time, ABC announced Jake Pavelka as the new Bachelor in October during Dancing with the Stars. Expect some kind of DWTS announcement this time, too, since that's what's running in the Bachelor's Mondays at 8 p.m. time slot starting tonight.
Last season's Bachelorette earned the franchise its highest ratings since 2004, when Trista Rehn accepted a proposal from Ryan Sutter. Wanting to at least match that, the producers "are reviewing all avenues carefully," the source says. The ABC and Warner Horizon brass, who produce The Bachelor, don't want to comment on casting rumors. "We will be making an announcement soon," a spokesperson says.
