Dancing With The Stars

Florence + The Machine Lead Singer Upset The Situation Is Gone

It was a bit surprising to see relative newcomer Florence Welch, the lead singer of Florence + The Machine, on Dancing with the Stars this week, if only because we can't exactly imagine contestants like Florence Henderson and Jennifer Grey knowing her music. That's all about to change, though, as appearing on the biggest show in the country will certainly do wonders for your profile.

Florence spoke with Us about her appearance on the hit show and revealed something you may not have anticipated: She loved The Situation.

"I met The Situation," Florence said. I was on my way to do an interview and he had gotten off on the wrong floor. I was trying to give him directions and we managed to get back on the lift together and he got to where he was going. He was so sweet." The Stich, always ready to help a damsel in distress.

Still, Florence might change her tune about the sweetness if she ever sees Jersey Shore "I've never watched it, but I've heard about it. It's a huge phenomenon. We don't have Jersey Shore in England yet." Can you imagine?

It sounds like Florence didn't stick around long enough to get the news that The Sitch had danced his last dance that night. "Oh no! Now I'm upset — I didn’t know that! I think if the Jersey Shore is on TV I'll watch it, but we don't get it in England. My TV only has five channels."
