*Update* We should've known Brad would never let Emily Maynard get away! Before the season even started, Spoiler King Reality Steve said Brad would choose Chantal O'Brien over Emily. But with two weeks left to Season 15, Steve reversed position and said Brad is indeed engaged to Emily. So don't expect to see her as the Bachelorette. At least not anytime soon.
Here's what we wrote months ago, before the spoilers started coming (and going):
We may already have a potential Season 7 Bachelorette in the works, if Brad Womack doesn't pick her first on his upcoming season of The Bachelor. Spoiler King Reality Steve says he already has the scoop on Brad's final three and is just waiting for more details to tell all. But, he says, Brad was recently in Charlotte, North Caroline, filming a hometown date. "Well, based on what I have so far," Steve said, "both Emily Maynard and Kimberly Coon live in Charlotte. Kimberly Coon is already home, so barring yet a third girl being from Charlotte, Emily is in the final four. Not surprising in the least bit if you read what I first posted about her a few weeks ago."
Of Emily, Steve wrote, "Probably the most interesting of the candidates I've found out thus far. Grew up in Florida, but currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is 24 years old and is the mother of a 5 year old daughter. However, here's where her story makes news. The father of her daughter is Ricky Hendrick, of the well known Hendricks Motor Sports in NASCAR. Ricky died in plane crash in 2004. Five days after he died, Emily found out she was pregnant with Ricky's child. They were never married. If you google 'Ricky Hendrick plane crash,' you can read all the details if you want. I'm not even a NASCAR fan, but I very much remember that whole story. Ten people died in that crash. Awful story. So if there's ever an underdog people will get behind this season, I'm guessing it will be Emily. You will also find a lot of stuff that Emily has done on TV and radio by googling her, including plenty of more pictures, so I would expect this is one that could be around a while."
Rumor has it Emily also dated famed racer Dale Earnhardt Jr., who kinda sorta looks like Brad. Anyway, it sounds like Emily is fulfilling the potential she showed pre-season. If Brad doesn't pick her, the blonde's beauty and backstory could earn her a shot as The Bachelorette. If Brad does choose her, or if she pulls a Chris Lambton and declines to go another round, check out some of the other women who may end up in the hot seat next spring.
