The David Boreanaz Cheating Scandal: A Man of Many Mistresses
Tiger Woods wasn't the only married man whose adulterous texts to nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel got leaked to the press: David Boreanaz is also a member of that unsavory club. In May 2010, David admitted to People that he had cheated on his wife of nine years, Jaime Bergman. "Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities," he said. "I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible."
David came forward because one of his mistresses had threatened to expose him if he didn’t pay her to keep quiet. "I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with," he explained. "She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion." Despite reports of racy text messages between David and Uchitel — which she claimed were fake — the busy mistress denied that she was the one collecting money from the Bones star.
Instead, the much-maligned Uchitel painted a very different picture to US Weekly. According to her, the texts that she and David exchanged actually reveal two people very much in love, but she ended things because she "no longer respected or trusted him... I am deeply hurt and offended that anyone would think that I wanted to break up his family. Nothing could be further from the truth." Attorney Gloria Allred insists that David treated Uchitel "as his girlfriend" and promised to love her forever.
Despite this public airing of his very dirty laundry, David is one lucky guy: His wife, Jaime, has stuck by him throughout the cheating scandals. On July 23, 2010, she tweeted, "Thank you friends for reaching out! We will survive this non-sense. ;)" Nothing like an emoticon to add a touch of whimsy to harrasment allegations.
