Exclusive Episode Teasers! “A Very Glee Christmas” Is an Instant Holiday Classic

It’s another Tease-O-Rama Tuesday, this time with tidings of comfort and Glee! We’ve taken an early peek at tonight’s episode, “A Very Glee Christmas,” and let’s get right down to unwrapping this pretty present from Ryan Murphy and the gang, which is way more than a stocking stuffer. Dare we say, in our humble opinion: Instant. Holiday. Classic.

We take our TV Christmas episodes VERY seriously here at Wetpaint, and aren’t throwing the “classic” label around lightly. This one ranks right up there among our all-time favorite holiday eps, ever — we’re betting you’ll be watching this one every holiday season for many holidays to come.

It also cleverly pays tribute to some of your favorite annual holiday specials — for example, as Jane Lynch tells us: “There will be an appearance by the Grinch! Someone’s in green makeup!” And please note that both of Jane’s thumbs were aimed squarely in her own direction as she gifted us with the news.

What else can we tell you? Well, we’re not the type to let you open your presents too early, but here are today’s teases:

— Yes, Brittany, there is a Santa Claus… or at least that’s what the glee club hopes their reality-challenged Cheerio will continue to believe as the story unfolds.

— Look forward to some not-so-traditional holiday songs that nevertheless have been lodged in your brains since childhood. Think tunes from “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and, of course, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

Kurt. Blaine. Duet. Holiday magic.

— An interesting point is raised: What exactly IS the difference between Santa’s elves and slaves?

— If, like us, you’ve always had a soft spot for a certain holiday tune made famous by Wham!, you’ll adore it even more now — even as it breaks your heart a little bit.

— Seasonal Slushies.

— What Secret Santa gift do you get for the person who has everything? It’s a common problem for the McKinley staff. Maybe too common.

— As far as the episode’s scene-stealer, it’s a toss-up between Becky and Coach Beiste.

— And finally, will there be a Christmas miracle of Carol-Brady-singing-in-church proportions under the Glee tree? There just might be more than one…
