Melissa Rycroft Strickland will share her "incredible story of heartbreak and happiness" in a memoir to be published by Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books next August. (Jason Mesnick may want to buy as many copies as possible to get them off the shelves.)
Melissa, 27, has been on the reality TV roller coaster since even before the massive tabloid drama on Jason's unlucky Season 13 of The Bachelor. The Texas lass was also on the CMT reality TV series Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team. She went straight from The Bachelor to a last-minute replacement position on Dancing with the Stars Season 8. She partnered with Tony Dovolani and they made it to third place. She then tried out to be the new co-host of DWTS but lost the part to Season 7 winner Brooke Burke. But she did land the oh-so coveted gig ofBachelor Pad co-host next to Rosemaster Chris Harrison. She married her friend Tye Strickland and they are expecting a baby girl in February. Melissa is currently a finalist in D Magazine's "Top Reality Stars in Dallas" competition.
So the girl has a lot on her resume, but a memoir? Really? Is she going to write some kind of child care book after the baby is born, too? It feels like she's revving up to keep this going for a long time.
