We’re insanely jealous that Lucy Hale gets to date Ian Harding on TV, but in real life Ian seems to be single. That’s right ladies, we’re pretty sure this major heartthrob is available! The good news is he’s not our English teacher, so if we were to hypothetically date Ian (you never know!), it wouldn’t be as complicated of a relationship as the one between him and Aria.
But don’t get too crazy yet. Ian keeps his personal life very private. He doesn’t even have a Twitter account, so stalking him, er, finding out about his relationships, isn’t quite so easy. If Ezra Fitz is any indication of Ian’s secretive love life, then he might not be available after all.
He only reveals this information to a few trusted sources, one of them being close pal Lucy Hale. She tells DigitalSpy.com that “He's so sweet and a loyal friend. We're always talking to each other about the people we're dating. I could see myself being friends with him for a long time." So unless we get this gossip out of Lucy, we're going to have to rely on our "A" stalking skills and assume that he's single now since there's no proof of him with anyone.
Ian is honored by all the attention he's received, but he doesn't seem to know just how many girls are after him. He told TVGuide.com that it's "pretty surreal. I don't even know what I think about it because everything's happened very quickly and grateful is all you can really be.” Even more surprising is that he's not used to receiving so much female attention. He reveals that “Growing up, most of my friends were really muscular and athletic, I was athletic, but not compared to these guys. They were the ones getting female attention, I could talk and maybe make people laugh, but that was it.” Aww! We wish we went to high school with Ian so we could have had him all to ourselves.
Girls back then might not have appreciated Ian's good looks, but we on the other hand have had our eyes on him since day one. Apparently Lucy has, too, and she explains that she "got to be a part of the casting process and read with about 15 guys. Ian came in at the beginning and when he left, I said, "that’s the guy." He just has something about him – he’s really relatable. And the storyline could go very creepy in the hands of the wrong actor. He makes the love story seem very sweet." We certainly agree and that's why we're so obsessed with him.
We know that Ian believes in true love, like the feelings between Aria and Ezra. Plus, he told TVGuide.com that "I would certainly get jealous if some guy was moving in on my girl," so we know he's definitely loyal. Keep hoping that he's single PLL fans and get ready to see more of him soon.
