The Bachelor

Sneak Peek of The Bachelor Season 15, Episode 5: Ashley S. and Ashley H. Face off in Vegas

Vegas, baby! In The Bachelor Season 15, Episode 5, the 11 remaining crazy ladies trade Los Angeles for Las Vegas, but it isn’t all fun and games in Sin City: Ashley Hebert and Ashley Spivey get shafted with a dreaded two-on-one date. Which Ashley will Brad gamble away? (It’s pretty clear after Episode 4 which one should go home.)

Brad also takes eight ladies to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Shawntel Newton gets her own Pretty Woman date. Take that, Jackie Gordon!

Here’s more from the latest ABC press release:

Date with Shawntel: No sooner do the women arrive at their luxury suite at the Aria Resort and Casino than Brad whisks Shawntel away on a shopping spree, where everything her heart desires is hers. (Except for a Vegas wedding with Brad, we assume.) When she returns to the suite, the rest of the women are green with envy. The date continues with a romantic rooftop dinner, but how will the night end, as Shawntel reveals the unsavory details of her profession? Considering he fought to keep a wannabe vampire, we think a mortician will pass with flying colors.

NASCAR date… with Emily: Brad feels the need for some speed, escorting eight lucky ladies to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a true NASCAR experience. Brad hopes to ignite some romance on the track, but Emily’s tragic link to the racing world puts a slight damper on things. (What were you thinking, ABC??) Brad puts everything on hold to comfort Emily, but at the after-party emotions are at an all-time high; some very jealous women seethe with resentment over his partiality to one woman. Will Brad risk the ire of the other ladies and give the rose to Emily, or will he choose to wave the checkered flag for another bachelorette? (Side note: After her fiance Ricky Hendrick died, Emily had a NASCAR podcast called “Emily on the Scene” for The Speed Channel. It’s not like she ran screaming from the racing world.)

Ashley vs. Ashley: The Bachelor must face the difficult task of taking Ashley H. and Ashley S., two women he’s fond of, on an infamous two-on-one date. He vows to have fun — even with a painful choice looming at the end of the night. Brad takes the ladies backstage at the hit show “Viva ELVIS by Cirque du Soleil,” where they discover they’ll be a part of the performance later that night. But there’s a catch: the number they’ll perform is a duet, and Brad will need to decide which woman will stay and perform with him. The tension-filled dinner does nothing to make Brad’s decision any easier, and he sends one woman home in tears.

More flipping therapy! Brad calls on his therapist to help him figure out how to deal with these emotional women. The solution? “Open up in the face of emotion in order to truly find the love he seeks.” What’re the odds? At the cocktail party, Brad makes one insecure bachelorette feel special and connects with another more confident woman who tries to convince him to send some of the women home. Is Chantal O’Brien going after Michelle Money again?

After more tears, eight women remain to begin a worldwide tour with Brad. Next stop, Costa Rica!

The 11 women still in the running toward becoming America’s Next Top Bachelor Dumpee are:

Alli, 24, an apparel merchant from Columbus, OH
Ashley H., 26, a dentist from Philadelphia, PA
Ashley S., 26, a nanny from New York, NY
