Adrienne and Paul Nassif Encouraged Charlie Sheen to Go to Rehab
There's a joke about everyone being connected to Kevin Bacon by six degrees, but maybe there should be a similar joke about Charlie Sheen.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Adrienne Maloof-Nassif and Dr. Paul Nassif called 911 for Charlie after his recent bout of what he said were stomach pains.
Charlie, who is longtime friends and neighbors with the Nassifs, reportedly called the couple early Thursday to complain of intense stomach pain and ask what he should do. They advised him to call 911, and then called for him.
Bravo’s The Dish blog notes: “‘Paul told them to call 911, then he called 911 himself to make sure help was on the way," Adrienne says. The couple then met the ambulance when it arrived at the hospital, and Paul even accompanied his friend to the ER. However, Adrienne notes that her surgeon husband was there as a neighbor and a friend, and didn't actually treat Sheen.”
Adrienne told The Dish that they’ve been friends with Sheen ever since he moved into a house down the road. "We've been friends for six or seven years. Charlie and Brooke (Mueller) got married at our place," Adrienne said.
Charlie was rushed to Cedars-Sinai in L.A., where he treated for a hernia. Sheen was released later today — and checked himself straight into rehab. “My husband and I encouraged Charlie Sheen to go into rehab, and he checked himself in today,” Adrienne said.
We hope Sheen can get the help he needs, and we’re so glad the Maloofs were there for him!
