Ali reiterated that she and Roberto are so happy and are getting married, but there are so many people involved that they aren't sure when or how they are going to do it. They have great fans who care about them — and even sent them Christmas presents — so they like the idea of giving back with a public wedding. But, at the same time, they want something for themselves.
“Maybe you should do a double wedding,” Rachael suggested. “Go somewhere, get eloped, have a really romantic thing, and then do a public big hoo-hah."
Ali gave that some thought. “We could do that, too,” she says. “We’ll see.”
So that’s something!
Ali also told Rachael she first said no to being the Bachelorette but her two best friends — a married couple — told her if she didn’t do it, she'd always be asking herself "what if?" Watching the show, Ali did think, what if I hadn't been there? (Who would've nabbed Roberto? Gia Allemand, maybe? Would Tenley Molzahn have proposed to Chris Lambton?)
Ali also did something super-cute for Roberto while she was taping The Bachelorette: "I actually kept a journal throughout the show because I knew when he was watching it would be so hard for him," Ali says. "I gave it to him at the end of the show, so I said, 'This is what you saw, but this is how I was really feeling.'"
Rachael says that's great, but "it's almost too romantic! You want to brush your teeth." Ha!
