Jesse Williams on the Grey’s Anatomy Musical Episode: “It’s Nuts!”

We've heard many a Seattle Grace surgeon assure us that the upcoming Grey's Anatomy musical episode will not, (read: will not), be some cheesy jazz-hands-and-glitter-balls Glee-esque disaster. It's intense; it's chilling; it's heartfelt; and it's going to leave you weeping, says almost everyone who talks about it. And, now, Jesse Williams, better known as Dr. Avery, has stepped up to fight the good fight.

"It's really a moving and powerful episode and it's not a musical by any other terms that we've seen before," he says in his first comment about the episode. "It's got nothing to do with Glee, or anything like that. It's nuts! I can't compare it to anything else."

And Shonda has been working the cast hard, he says. "We've had insane rehearsals and the talent is so amazing on our show: Chandra Wilson, Sara Ramirez." But does Avery have
killer pipes? "We'll see!"

We'll see, indeed, on March 31st when the episode airs.
