As the sun starts to set on Brad Womack’s redux season of The Bachelor, our thoughts turn to the springtime journey of our next Bachelorette. In the past two seasons, the lucky lady has been chosen from the current season of The Bachelor and named in the After the Final Rose special.
Ali Fedotowsky, for example, was named the Season 6 Bachelorette on The Bachelor: After the Final Rose, which aired right after Jake Pavelka’s season finale.
Jillian Harris was named as the Season 5 Bachelorette on the After the Final Rose Part II, because Jason Mesnick’s Bachelor finale was so effed-up they had to have two ATFR specials to sort out the mess.
On the other hand, the last two bachelors — Jake and Brad — were not named as the main men during The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose specials. They were both introduced to the public during episodes of Dancing With the Stars, which airs between The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
So here’s the situation:
The Season 7 Bachelorette is probably going to be named on Brad’s After the Final Rose special, which will air right after the Season 15 finale on March 14. If not, it’s either because the number one choice said no and the producers are scrambling to find a replacement (which is what happened with Brad after Bachelorette Season 6 fan favorite Chris Lambton said no) or they want to milk the suspense a bit and continue to do a crossover plug with Dancing With the Stars. In that case, the new lady will probably be introduced during DWTS, which premieres its 11th season on March 21.
No matter when the Season 7 Bachelorette is introduced, her season will likely begin airing in May.
