Why Did Chelsea Staub Change Her Name to Chelsea Kane?
Disney star, Chelsea, 22, of Jonas L.A. fame, was born Chelsea Kane Staub, but she recently ditched Staub and officially changed her professional name to Chelsea Kane.
Why? As she explained on Twitter, “People struggled with pronouncing and spelling 'Staub.' Got tired of 'Stab' and 'Stub,' so 'Chelsea Kane' makes life simpler. I know it's a little strange to get used to, but thanks for making the best of it until we all get comfortable with it!"
According to Just Jared Jr., she’s been known by her family and friends as just Chelsea Kane and since the Disney Channel series Jonas L.A. was ending, she felt it was the perfect time to make the switch.
Maybe she's going for more of a Citizen Kane vibe. Or maybe she's been watching The Real Housewives of New Jersey and she's worried someone will think she's related to Danielle Staub. . By the way, Arizona native Chelsea had a relationship with Brian Dales, the lead singer of the Arizona pop-punk band The Summer Set, and she was the inspiration behind their song, “Chelsea."
