Jay Manuel, style guru and occasional life-coach to the America's Next Top Model contestants, has finally branched out from fashion sage to become a designer himself. He's been appointed Creative Director of his line ATTITUDE Jay Manuel, which is set to launch in Sears stores. The bad news? For now, the line is exclusive to Canadian Sears, but it will come to the States within the next 12 months, so hold tight, ladies.
Jay will oversee the design and product development of the line, which is said to mix "modern interpretations of the sophisticated silhouette from the early '60s with the luxury and textures of the '70s. Designed for the stylish woman on the go, highlights of the collection include flattering shapes such as wide legged trousers, sleek pencil skirts, fashion-forward suiting that transitions from office to evening, and seamed dresses for the fashion conscious." Wait, shouldn't everyone be "fashion conscious"?
The line also includes shoes, bags, and accessories, because don't even think about stepping out the door in a Jay Manuel outfit without having the complete look.
Keep an eye out for ATTITUDE Jay Manuel's Fall/Winter collection, which shows later this month at Toronto Fashion Week.
