Countdown to The Bachelor Season 15 Finale: 5 More Days
It's Wednesday. Brad Womack promised us a happy ending on Monday. In preparation, we're reliving three of our favorite happy endings from past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Go ahead and give in to the warm and fuzzies — it's OK to swoon vicariously through strangers. Honest!
Andy: "I've always imagined this day, and this is beyond my wildest dream... I met this woman who makes me feel so happy and so unbelievably amazing. I want to say to you, Tessa, will you marry me?"
"Yes!" Tessa exclaimed, putting her hand to her mouth and whispering, "Oh my God..." He put the ring on her finger, and she said, "This moment is perfect." He agreed. We agreed. Then they broke up. And we were sad.
Roberto proposes to Ali There were so many "amazing" things about Roberto Martinez's proposal to Ali Fedotowsky on The Bachelorette Season 6. First off, we'd been led to believe she chose no one. Second, she let lovable Chris Lambton go before the final rose ceremony to spare his feelings. Finally, we were moved by the depth of Roberto and Ali's feelings for each other and the heartfelt words they exchanged. Even better? They're still together and on track to get married!
Ali: "I love Roberto. I love him. I've never, ever ever in my whole life felt this good about a relationship and about a person. Everything I came here to find I found in Roberto."
Roberto: "I want to be that man for you. I want to make you laugh just like this. I want to make you smile. I want to make sure that you wake up every night, every morning, for the rest of your life knowing that you're so, so loved. I love you. I want to grow old with you. I want to have a beautiful, beautiful family together. [...] Share your life with me. Be my wife. Will you marry me?"
Yes! Yes we will! Oh, wait, he wasn't asking us. Crap.
Ryan and Trista make Bachelor franchise history Back in 2003, Season 1 Bachelorette Trista Rehn was a sweet little blonde, fresh off her Bachelor Season 1 dumping by Alex Michel. She met a hot firefighter named Ryan Sutter. They went to Sea World. He wrote her poetry. When it came to the finale, no one else stood a chance.
Ryan: "I started down this road hoping for love and I think I was only able to make it to the end because I found it. And you were my strength, you were my inspiration, you were the breath and my voice and there's a place in my heart, a space that only you can fill. And Trista I love you with every ounce of who I am. And offer you my hand, my heart and soul. And my love forever, if you'll have it. So, Trista Nicole Rehn, will you marry me?"
That "Yes" has lasted through a television wedding, two children, seven years of love, and many more to come. Thanks, Trista and Ryan, for proving that happy endings are possible on this show.
