Who Is “A”? Top Suspects From Pretty Little Liars, Season 1, Episode 20
We know that you’re dying to know who “A” might be! Don’t worry — we’ve got our crack team of sleuths on the case, picking up even the tiniest clue for your mystery-solving pleasure. Here are the hints from PLL Season 1, Episode 20, “Someone to Watch Over Me” (March 7, 2011) that may help us solve this thing for good!
Suspect #1: Jenna Marshall Why she might be “A”: It’s seeming more and more likely that Jenna is “A”! That would be the most logical explanation for why she would be hiring someone like Caleb to spy on Hanna (Ashley Benson). (And why is it that spies are always so darn sexy?)
Why she might not be “A”: Seeing Jenna get slapped was fun, but it sorta made us feel bad for her. (Not too bad for her, mind you — but a little!) And now that Toby is such a nice guy, we would like to believe that his sister isn’t a total menace!
Suspect #2: Sean Ackard Why he might be “A”: That final scene, where “A” smashes a red heart and tells Hanna to try and put it together, made Sean — who finally returned this week — seem like he could be responsible. We’re guessing he still might not be over Hanna, and so he could be helping to break up Hanna and Caleb (who is clearly in the doghouse these days).
Why he might not be “A”: Sean seems to be moving on from Hanna, as we see him asking Paige out on a date. Then again, Paige did almost drown Emily (Shay Mitchell), so we’re not yet sure that we entirely trust her either!
Suspect #3: Ian Thomas Why he might be “A”: It really seems like Ian had something to do with planting those clothing fibers in Spencer’s room, seeing as how he has such easy access to their home. And the way he just sits around and waits for Spencer to get home is super-creepy. (How much free time does this guy have?)
Why he might not be “A”: We got to know Spencer’s mom a little bit more this week, and she seems to be logical and intelligent. So if she hasn’t sensed anything suspicious about Ian, then maybe we’re wrong about him? (Okay, so we’re trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it’s not easy!)
