“[T]he writers and Ryan [Murphy] were getting such a strong craving from the fans — from the Brittany and Santana fans — for them to be together,” she told Vanity Fair. “And we sort of took it lightly at first. But then we thought it was something people really wanted us to do, that it was something we should tackle. And so, one day, [head writer] Brad Falchuk came up to me and said, ‘We’ve decided that we’re going to explore this storyline,’ and I was totally for it, and knew people would appreciate it.”
So far, they have, at first casually and now more fervently after Santana’s profession of love to Brittany in last week’s “Sexy.” But since Brittany and Artie (Kevin McHale) are still very much on, it’s anyone’s guess where Brittana will go from here.
We can expect more songs from Naya, which is fine by her — especially if the songs are as emotional as last week’s “Landslide.” “It made me cry, too! I’m sure I’ll be singing more. They’re nice enough to give me some great solos and some great songs,” she said.
