Nina Dobrev Gushes Over Her ‘Killing Game’ Co-Star Kellan Lutz
Nina Dobrev (Elena) is quite the woman to envy. As if working with Ian Somerhalder (Damon) and Paul Wesley (Stefan) all day, every day wasn’t enough, now we have another reason to hate her (and by hate we mean love, obviously): Nina’s starring alongside Kellan Lutz, in her new flick, The Killing Game. (Kellan, of course, plays Emmet Cullen, Edward’s adoptive brother in Twilight … not that we had to tell you.)
So what’s this new project all about? "The Killing Game is an indie action film that Kellan stars in, and he blows it out of the park," Nina told MTV.com. "It’s his movie and he kicks ass in it."
Nina totally played it humble by calling her part “small but important,” ‘cause what she really wanted to get across was how unbelievably impressive Kellan’s role is. Yes, there was some serious Kellan gushing going on — not that we blame her!
We’re excited to see him take center stage, too. But we’re also curious to see the chemistry between the two vampire actors, who say they’ve known each other for quite some time now. "All the vampire shows all kind of ended up at the same functions and the same events, and so we all kind of know each other,” Nina says of her friendship with Kellan.
There’s no official release date yet, but we’ve already mentally dedicated ourselves to seeing these two on the big screen. And is it safe to say we’re kind of hoping this blossoms into something more than just some on-screen smooching? Kellan is an official co-worker now, after all.
