American Idol

Idol Top 11 Rub Elbows With Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks at Celeb Fight Night

Those American Idol Top 11 never seem to slow down! If they aren’t shooting commercials for Ford, they’re in the studio recording tracks for a compilation album. Well, add one more thing to the Idol contestants’ super-hectic schedule: performing in huge celeb charity events!

The Idol Top 11 — with the notable absence of Casey Abrams, who stayed home — lent their support to Celeb Fight Night, with a rare mid-season performance. Celeb Fight Night is a charity event geared to raise money for Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center, bringing in $65 million over the past 16 years to contribute to fighting the disease. Also in attendance at Saturday’s event were Idol alums David Cook, Michael Johns, Jordin Sparks, and Kelly Clarkson. The Idol Top 11 performed Michael Jackson’s “Man In the Mirror,” while Kelly sang Eric Hutchinson’s “Why Don’t You Try.”

The extended Idol family had such a good time together that they couldn’t help taking to their social networking accounts to tell the world. Here’s Jordin gushing over the Season 10 Idol-ers:

@TheRealJordin Just met the AI10 top 10. So much talent I can’t even comprehend it!! I love them! Celebrity Fight Night is in full swing!

And here’s Kelly Clarkson’s Facebook post:

“I had such an amazing weekend! I got the chance to be a part of Fight Night in Arizona and I had such a great time! I can’t wait to come back next year! I made some new friends with some big hearts and it was just a very inspiring weekend. Please find a few charities and/or causes and give your time, heart and/or money because we are all so blessed even when we think we’re not have an awesome day everybody!”

Sounds like a fun time was had by all!
