Glee

Why Is There No New Glee Episode Tonight, March 22?

Brace yourselves, Gleeks, because Glee Season 2 isn’t coming back until April 19. On that Tuesday three long weeks in the future, we’ll return to McKinley High — and our favorite band of singing-and-dancing misfits — in Episode 17, “A Night of Neglect.”

The episode, the first of Glee’s six-part end-of-season run, promises to be hilarious. First off, Holly (Gwyneth Paltrow) returns, but she doesn’t seem as into Will (Matthew Morrison) as she was before heading off on her “spiritual” retreat. Back at school, Mercedes (Amber Riley) falls to the diva dark side — and it’s up to her New Directions pals to rein her in. Hell to the no, sistah!

Tapping even deeper into her crazy core, Sue (Jane Lynch) forms a “League of Doom” with Sandy Ryerson (Stephen Tobolowsky), Terri Schuester (Jessalyn Gilsig), and Dustin (Cheyenne Jackson). Their goal? To undermine the glee club once and for all. But there’s a hitch in their carefully laid plans: Kurt (Chris Colfer) is heading back to McKinley, and even Sue has a soft spot for “Porcelain.”

Catch the promo below. Can April 19 be tomorrow?

It's not all bad, because Fox is airing a Season 2 rerun, “The Substitute,” tonight. The highlight of that episode has to be Gwyneth’s unforgettable cover of Cee-Lo’s “Forget You.”
