American Idol

Jennifer Hudson, David Cook, and Kelly Clarkson to Perform on American Idol

We’ve got major news about American Idol performances — as in, three hugely popular Idol alums performing on the show in the coming weeks. So brace yourselves!

On tonight’s Idol results show, we’ll be treated to a performance by Season 3’s Oscar-winning singer, Jennifer Hudson. She’s in heavy promotion mode for her new album, I Remember Me, which is on iTunes right now, BTW. Then, we’ve got Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson singing on April 14. She’ll be joined by country crooner Jason Aldean, and they’ll be performing their hit song, “Don’t You Wanna Stay.” And if all that wasn’t enough, we’ll also be graced with Season 7 winner David Cook singing on April 21 AND on the Idol finale. No word yet on what song David will play for his first performance, but his finale song will likely be his cover of “Don’t You Forget About Me.”

Yowza, so much awesome! Have we died and gone to American Idol heaven?
