Is Bachelor Creator Mike Fleiss a True Humanitarian?
It seems that congratulations are in order. And maybe a few questions. Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss will receive the Reality Rocks Humanitarian Award this April during the Reality Rocks expo in Los Angeles.
According to BuddyTV, the Reality Rocks Humanitarian Award is given to those who have made a significant contribution to reality TV programming. Fleiss, who got his reality TV start with Fox's Who Wants To Marry A Multi-Millionaire? and had a hand in ABC’s short-lived Are You Hot?, definitely fits the bill. But it was the Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad franchise that set him on the path to world domination.
Beyond that that, individuals who receive the award are identified as people who continue to strive to improve society through their efforts.
That second attribute sounds like a bit of a stretch if you ask us. Yes, Fleiss is the founder of Next Entertainment, which is credited with enriching communities with the help of nonprofits, particularly through the program "Bachelor Gives Back." This year, Bachelor alumni attended blood drives throughout the country, and Chris Harrison and Brad Womack helped children in South Africa.
