The predator who sexually assaulted Cheryl Burke when she was a child is on his deathbed. The Dancing With the Stars pro made this shocking revelation on The Opie & Anthony Sirius Satellite Radio show on Friday, April 1.
When asked if she knew where the former mailman was located after his release following a 20 year prison sentence, Cheryl said, “He’s being taken care of because he’s about to die. He’s in an old folks home.”
That was the only serious moment of the entire interview, however. As soon as Cheryl entered the studio with partner Chris Jericho, guest host Jay Mohr went into his impression of Harvey Keitel in Bad Lieutenant, repeatedly demanding, “Where were you last night, Cheryl? Kit Kat Club? Kit Kat Club?” Jay then told Chris, “You’ve got the moves of an angel. You’re very dexterous.” Host Gregg “Opie” Hughes was less impressed with the wrestler’s dancing. Told that Cheryl is a two-time DWTS champion, Hughes sighed, “Oh boy. Not a three-time, though.” But Chris just laughed it off. What a good sport!
Cheryl wouldn’t specifically name who her most difficult former partner was, but when asked by Opie, “Was Ian Ziering a pain in the ass?” Cheryl replied in a very low voice, "Umm… no.” Her hesitation spoke volumes.
But apparently there's one former DWTS contestant everyone loves. “Wayne Newton is the nicest man in the world,” Cheryl said. Jay agreed, adding, “My wife [Nikki Cox] said that not only is he the nicest guy in the world, but also the nice-smelling guy in the world. He smells like heaven and the inside of a Porche.”
