Paul McDonald and Grand Magnolias Release a Song to Benefit Japan
Japan is still coping with the aftermath of the recent earthquake and tsunami, and Paul McDonald’s band, Grand Magnolias, decided to help raise money for the cause. All of the proceeds from a previously unreleased single will go to the Japanese Red Cross Society. The song, “New Orleans,” was written about another city torn by natural disaster and its ongoing revival.
As the band wrote on its website, “This song is an ode to a city we have grown to love. After years of shows in New Orleans, we have watched it rebuild and triumph over tragedy. We hope others will help Japan do the same.”
“New Orleans” is available for download at both the Grand Magnolia’s website. Click on over and support Japan relief efforts.
