America's Next Top Model

Exclusive! ANTM’s Jaclyn: We’re Planning a Top Model Reunion Cruise

In the cut-throat bubble that is America's Next Top Model, it's rare that we see a contestant who is so sweet that she gives designers, judges, and photographers toothaches on a weekly basis. Jaclyn's positive energy was a breath of fresh air amongst the cursing and tears that usually fill the Top Model house, so we thank you, Jaclyn and you will be missed. But getting right down to it: Does Jaclyn think Alexandria will win after she swept the go-sees and photo shoot on ANTM Cycle 16, Episode 8? Check out what she had to say about it all.

Wetpaint: What did you think of the go-sees experience?

Jaclyn: I did book 2/2 of my go-sees and I felt so proud of myself for just doing that. They said I had a great personality and I always try to carry myself well. My parents raised me to be the person I am today. It was hard to hear that I was eliminated, but I had so much fun on my go-sees, flying around town in my little smart car. I have no regrets except knowing how to use a map correctly, which I am going to work on! But other than that it was an awesome experience.

Why do you think they decided to send you home?

I honestly think they base it off of who they think is consistent and Molly is very consistent. She's a beautiful model, she has so much going for her, and she's had so much experience. I progressed every week in the competition and I got better and better, so it is sad that I had to leave, but we all wanted so badly to be America's Next Top Model. We're all winners and we all have bright futures ahead of us. We all have so much to bring to this industry and to the table and I think we're all going to succeed in whatever we want to do in life.

You are definitely the nicest Top Model contestant ever. What's the meanest thing you've ever done in your life?

When I was little I used to back-talk my daddy sometimes and I always would get in trouble for that. Some people could be having a bad day, but if I'm friendly I could make their day, I could put a smile on their face because you never know who could be here the next day and who could be taken away from life. Life is too short to be mean to people. Live every day as if it's your last.

Were you surprised to see Alexandria say that she didn't trust any of you after she and Brittani made up in the limo?

I think during the time it was hard for everyone to forgive everyone. But now we're all great friends. I can't wait to see Brittani and Alexandria and everyone else again. I can't wait for all of us to be out in the real modeling world and get to spend time with each other again. I met 13 new best friends! It was like a college experience; I was thrown into a sorority and I met my sisters for life. I feel so blessed to have met them. We might have a Top Model reunion cruise.

How many of the models have you kept in touch with?

I've almost talked to everyone! Last night, myself, Dalya, Angelia, Sara, Mikaela, and Brittani, we all had a 6-way conversation on the phone. It was so fun. We were all being loudmouths and talking about funny things that happened on the show. We're planning on taking time off and getting together and reliving Top Model Moments.

Is Alexandria included in that reunion?

Oh yes, definitely. We're all supposed to go skiing at Big Ben in California sometime. I'm looking forward to that. She's going to teach me how to ski.

You and Brittani are close now, so how do you talk without her spilling who won?

I don't ask! I know she's not allowed to tell anyone so I just keep my mouth shut. I wanna be surprised! Now I'm just tuning in like everyone else in America. It's better to be surprised than try to pull it out of her, which she won't do. She's a stickler.

What was your most embarrassing moment on the show?

My most embarrassing thing was probably the map thing. That was horrible. I didn't know where the heck I was going. I was so lucky to make it to the two go-sees I made it to. I couldn't find where I was on the map. I think the map was a 1,000-page book of Los Angeles. I was trying to get my driver to cheat and help me out and he wouldn't and it was just a mess. Next time I'm going to sneak a GPS into the car and hopefully that'll work out for me!

How did you try to convince your driver to cheat?

I would be like, "Am I supposed to go this way? Nod to one side of your head or point this way if yes," and he'd be like, "I can't tell you that!" He was so cute, too, so that was kind of intimidating. But it was so much fun. He was going fast, too! I go 60 on the interstate and I don't even know how fast he was going.

Do you think that Alexandria is going to win?

I honestly have a feeling Brittani or Molly is gonna win because there the most high fashion out of this cycle, but every girl is deserving of the title.

We are seeing more and more that Molly is a bit rough around the edges. Is she just like that on TV?

Molly is awesome. Everyone has their moments when they get mad or they have little outbursts, but that's life. It just happened to be Molly's episode where she did. She is the funniest girl I've ever met. When she had her weave, the things she'd say, oh, gosh, that girl! She is something else and I love her so much.

What would you be doing if you weren't modeling?

I plan on either being a beluga whale trainer or working with senior citizens. I love old people and I love to hear their stores and their life experiences. They're what made the world. They're so adorable!
