Pretty Little Liars

Exclusive Spoiler! Who Was NOT in the Car That Hit Spencer and Melissa on PLL?

The Pretty Little Liars Season 1 finale left us with so many questions. Is Ian (Ryan Merriman) dead? Will Hanna (Ashley Benson) and her bad boy ex Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) get back together? And who was in the car that crashed into Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Melissa (Torrey DeVitto)? Lucky for us, Tyler Blackburn gave us his take on one of the big mysteries we were left with in the wake of the PLL cliffhanger in Part 1 of our exclusive Wetpaint interview.

Wetpaint: There's speculation that the car that Lucas and Caleb were driving in on the PLL Season 1 finale was the same car that hit Spencer and Melissa. What do you think?

Tyler Blackburn: I don’t think it was. I know that it was shot that way, because it’s us in a car and then them in a car. But no, I don’t think it was. You’ll have to see in the first episode [of Season 2].

Did Lucas drive to Arizona to pick Caleb up? Or had Caleb not left Rosewood yet?

He drove to Arizona to pick up Caleb. [Editor's Note: PLL creator Marlene King says the series has only taken place over the course of about eight weeks. Wouldn't it take over a week just to go from Pennslyvannia to Arizona? Weird!]

Will the Caleb/Lucas bromance grow in Season 2, or is there too much rivalry there?

I don’t know [that] we’ll be like best friends. I think that what Lucas has done is a really nice thing, especially having feelings for Hanna himself. So I think that there’s potential for it, for sure. I don’t know that they’ll be the best of friends, but they’ll definitely interact, I would imagine.

Want more PLL scoop from Tyler Blackburn? Come back on Monday for Part 2 of our exclusive interview!
