Molly Was In Rehab! OMG Moments: ANTM Cycle 16, Episode 11
The reception was before the wedding last night, and both were a little ridic. Here are the Top 5 OMG Moments from America's Next Top Model Cycle 16, Episode 11.
5. Weddings are very sad, apparently.
It's become clear that "happiness" and "editorial" are mutually exclusive terms, but never more so than during last night's Moroccan wedding shoot. Nigel Barker and Jay Manuel told the models to make up a narrative about their respective ceremonies, and not one of them included any mention of joy, anticipation, or excitement. Instead, the stories were, "He doesn't really love me," "We're fighting," and "I'm trying to get away from him." Uplifting!
4. Everything about those beauty trend spots was awkward.
And not just the research and interviews done by the models. Even the camerawork was kind of off. We're not trying to be nit-picky here — "live" TV always has a few quirks — but since Brittani, Molly, and Hannah were subject to so much critique, it seems only fair to point out that the whole situation was a bit tricky to pull off in an hour. We also couldn't help but feel badly for all of the experts who got themselves involved in this. The guy at the herb pharmacy really looked like he had other stuff to do.
3. There were a lot of tears.
Hannah got labeled the emotional one, but uh, everyone cried last night. First of all, Tyra came to the house to talk, so that's, like, automatic bawling. Then Molly cried after her shoot, Brittani cried during her shoot, and Hannah cried while she talked about how crying is her strength. This all might have reached its pinnacle, though, when Tyra called Brittani's name as a finalist and told her the importance of inner strength...while she wept.
2. Molly was in rehab.
We already knew that Molls struggles with abandonment issues as a result of her adoption, but then she kind of threw in quickly that she had been in rehab. The surprising part wasn't the actual rehab (good for her getting herself on the right track), but the fact that it was thrown in there after Tyra's counseling session.
1. Models have to transition from crying to dancing on a dime.
OK, what was going on here? Tyra tried to cram an entire semester into one class: models must cry and be relatable; models must get grease in their hair; models must learn to isolate their muscles; and models must dance with wild abandon on the roof. Total TV whiplash.
