Buffy’s done it, and so has Grey’s Anatomy, so why not Bones? We’re talking about a musical episode for a very non-musical show. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), the thought of turning the Jeffersonian into the setting for a cabaret act leaves show creator Hart Hanson shaking his head. Even Emily Deschanel (Brennan ) admitted to TVLine, “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
But despite their resistance to a full hour of Bones: Glee Edition, they’re not opposed to some light crooning — at least based on this week’s episode.
In the all-new “The Hole in the Heart” — the same ep in which someone dies at the hands of the dastardly sniper — the team will burst into a rendition of Harry Nilsson’s “Coconut.” Bones fanatics will remember that the last time we heard this was when Sweets (John Francis Daley) belted it out in “The Wannabe in the Weeds” while running on the treadmill. (Odd choice of workout song, no?) We hope the cast isn’t singing it as a tribute to the adorable psychologist with the most-est.
