Top 3 Grossest Moments From Bones Season 6, Episode 22: “The Hole in the Heart”

Last week’s “The Hole in the Heart” had everything: a heavy heap of sadness, a dash of hilarity, and an unhealthy dose of grossness. For every tear we shed, there was a moment that had us going, “Eww, nasty!” On that note, read on for the three most disgusting aspects of the second-to-last episode of Bones Season 6.

3. It’s not like he didn’t deserved it!
We’re like Caroline (Patricia Belcher): We love it when a suspect squirms. Especially when said suspect is Jacob Broadsky, the sniper who took out our beloved Vincent Nigel-Murray (Ryan Cartwright). Watching Booth (David Boreanaz) shoot the sniper in the leg was more gratifying than gross, but we still cringed when Seeley stepped on the bullet wound. What’s that thing they say about payback? Oh yeah, it’s a bitch!

2. The feeling is mutual, Sweets
You would think a sniper would know not to befriend a fellow sniper who’s “off the reservation” — but that’s exactly what Leishenger did. So we can’t say we were surprised when Booth and Sweets (John Francis Daley) came across his dead body in a field. Though we were surprised at how disgusting a corpse can look after only five days of being left for the crows. Even Sweets wasn’t used to the gore. “God, I hate when this happens,” he said after getting a good look at the bloody mess.

1. Rest in peace
We’re not sure which was worse: watching Vincent the squintern gasp for air after being shot by the sniper, or having to see the blood gushing from the bullet wound in his chest. The icky feeling in our stomach quickly turned to sadness as we watched one of our favorite squints take his last breath. You will be missed, Vincent.
