Dancing With The Stars

Ralph Macchio Calls Judge Bruno’s Censored Comment “A Bad Job By Him”

Bruno Tonioli is a sick, sick puppy. What’s weird is, he’s always been the over-the-top judge on Dancing With the Stars, but on Season 12 he seems to save his most tasteless remarks for one contestant: Ralph Macchio. Of all people!

A few weeks ago he demanded more hip action from Ralph’s Samba, shouting, “Give me sex, man!”

For the Week 9 Semifinals, Bruno went completely unhinged and even got himself bleeped.

He started his verbal sexual assault on Ralph after Ralph & Karina Smirnoff’s Argentine Tango. "Something was happening when you were stroking your lamppost,” Bruno said as eyebrows raised in the audience.

Later, Bruno had some fun critiquing Ralph’s Salsa, commenting on the butt padding Karina had him wear to give him more Latin booty. “You definitely went for a badass Salsa. Are you wearing extra large diapers?” he asked. “Your legs were too far apart — about a mile apart while you were dancing. And you were too rough with your pussy!”

The audience gasped, Ralph and Karina looked shocked, and the censors actually bleeped out the word. Bruno looked around in (mock?) innocence. “A pussycat, what is she? You have to be a little bit smoother,” he said.

Karina responded by saying, “Get a muzzle for him — classy, classy!”

It was a tasteless remark, but Karina was dressed as a (very tacky) jungle cat so we can see Bruno’s point in referencing a pussycat. But he was clearly trying to be “on” as Bruno The Wild Italian Judge. That seems to be Ralph & Karina’s take on it, anyway.

"It was a bad job by him,” Ralph told E! News. “I'm sure he recognizes that. I want to hear my criticism about how I can be better, not a comment that is just going to make a sound bite. And I get that it's a show, but I'm very protective of [Karina]. I bit my tongue, and she responded by saying, ‘Classy,' which was a very good thing to say. That comment was just airtime wasted."

Karina agreed with Ralph, telling E!, "I think he wanted just some camera time and attention, and that's the way to do it."

Ralph continued airing his frustrations with Bruno to On the Red Carpet. Karina even thinks Bruno's comment may have embarrassed him into giving them an "8" instead of a "7."

Watch Ralph & Karina talk about Week 9 in the video below. Do you think Bruno went too far (again) or is there no too far when it comes to Bruno?
