1-on-1: Ben Castoriano. He and Ashley get sucked into a flash mob video date at the Americana at Brand outdoor mall in Pasadena, California. You can see pictures of this date here. Ben gets a rose.
Group Date: Ten guys participate in the first ever “Bachelorette Roast." Steve says it's similar to the group date on Jake Pavelka’s season on which all the girls had to do a stand-up routine. "Except this time, the comedy is directed at ripping on the other guys — and Ashley. Will gets a bit carried away and I guess spends an inordinate amount of time making fun of Ashley. Nice one." Ryan Park gets the rose on this date. (Go, Mr. Sunshine!)
1-on-1: JP Rosenbaum. It’s a low-key date, involving dinner at Ashley’s place. JP gets a rose.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations: Chris Drish and Jeff Medolla. "Bentley Williams eliminates himself the morning after his group date by telling Ashley he misses his daughter and can no longer stay. However, this is not the last we see of him." Whaaaahhht?! We knew Wrong Reasons Bentley was leaving early — but he comes back?
Here’s more on our beloved Ryan Park: He gets the first impression rose. Steve writes, "Based on a Chris Harrison quote saying, 'Ryan rubs some guys the wrong way,' the consensus seems to be a few of the guys thought he was a bit phony and played it up for the cameras. However, the press release describes him as 'high-energy.' so maybe the guys mistook 'high-energy' for 'phony, overacting douchebag.' The odd thing about Ryan getting the first impression rose? He doesn’t get a 1-on-1 date until the seventh episode. Although it’s not totally guaranteed you get a 1-on-1 if you get the first impression rose (Dave Good never even got one, and Nikki [Kaape] got a 2-on-1), the last 3 seasons have had the first impression rose recipient get 1-on-1 dates rather early (Ashley Spivey, Roberto [Martinez], Tenley [Molzahn])."
Ryan Park seems like a sweetheart from what we've seen...
Ryan Park (Mr. Sunshine!) reportedly returns to ask Ashley to give him another chance. Steve says it doesn’t work.
Constantine is also sent home. However, Steve writes, “the circumstances surrounding his exit could be a little different. He might’ve eliminated himself, it might’ve been mutually agreed upon that both of them realized they weren’t a match for each other (apparently there might have been some major religious differences between the two), or maybe it is just a regular rose ceremony where he doesn’t get a rose. I’ve heard a few things. All I know for sure is he’s absolutely eliminated here.”
1-on-1: Ben Flajnik. They go shopping at an outdoor market, visit an ancient temple, then end the night with Thai music, dancing, and a fire-eater show. Ben gets a rose.
Group Date: Eight men compete against each other in Muay Thai boxing, tournament style. "Kinda similar to Ali’s guys wrestling in Portugal, except much more manly and less oily," Steve writes. "Ryan beats Ames and accidentally gives the guy a concussion, sending him to the emergency room. Blake beats Lucas. Constantine beats Nick. JP beats Mickey. Constantine and JP bow out of the competition, so Blake and Ryan have one final match. Blake ends up winning and he gets the rose later that night." Poor Ames!
2-on-1: Ben Castoriano and Will Holman. Both are sent home on this date. (Ouch!)
1-on-1 date: William Holman. Steve has pics from that date here. They visit the Bellagio Conservatory, then eat lunch at the Jean Philippe Patisserie inside the Bellagio. Dinner is on the water in front of the Bellagio. They kiss, and Will gets a rose.
Group Date: At the Monte Carlo hotel with 12 guys. The 12 guys are split up into two teams of six, and the winning team performs in the Jabbawockeez show later that night. Bentley gets the rose on this group date. (Barf!)
1-on-1: Mickey McLean. They go to the Mandalay Bay wave pool, then enjoy a private concert from Colbie Callait, who performs her song “I Do.” Mickey gets a rose.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations: Matt Colombo, Stephen D’Amico, and Ryan Miller
This is the episode in which Bentley returns! Duh-duh-duuuuhhhh.
"However, the details are a bit sketchs," Steve writes. "The end result is he doesn’t return to the 'game,' doesn’t go on any dates, and isn’t part of the rose ceremony. He appears to talk to Ashley about whatever. Maybe to apologize for coming across as the 'villain,' maybe to try and convince her he was really there for the right reasons, or maybe he did try to get back in the game and she rejected him. Whatever the case, he is sent back home this episode and never 're-enters the game,' for lack of a better phrase. Not quite sure what the whole point of it is, but just know this is where Bentley reappears on the show."
1-on-1: Lucas Daniels. He gets a rose.
Group Date: Three two-man teams compete in a dragon boat race. They have to run into Stanley Market and get random strangers to join their boat to compete in the race. Ames/Mickey vs. Ryan/Blake vs. Constantine/Ben Flajnik. Ames and Mickey finish first, Ryan and Blake finish second, and Constantine and Ben F. bring up the rear, finishing third. Ryan ends up getting the rose on this group date.
1-on-1: Ames Brown. They spend some time on the beach, and Ames gets a rose.
Group Date: Ashley and the guys head to a local orphanage, where they build and paint stuff all day for the kids. Since Ben Flajnik is the artistic one of the bunch, he ends up impressing Ashley the most and gets the rose. (In her pre-season conference call, Ashley pinpointed this as one of her favorite dates of the season.)
Ben Flajnik, Sonoma, CA: Steve guesses he takes her to the winery he co-owns, Evolve Winery.
Constantine Tzortzis, Cumming, GA: He takes her to his family’s restaurant, Giorgios. They make a pizza together, Ashley serves some of the customers, and then she eats dinner with his family. Working on a date? Not fun.
JP Rosenbaum, Long Island, NY
Ames Brown, New York, NY
Eliminated: Ames is sent home after the hometown dates.
Chris Harrison hopes Bad News Bentley Williams returns to tell all, but we'll see.
The final two are Ben Flajnik and JP Rosenbaum. According to Steve, “Ashley is engaged to JP.”
Here’s more from Steve on the finale:
“In one of JP’s last appearances with Ashley, they go kayaking. Ashley is in a turquoise bikini and brown sarong. JP has a yellow shirt on. In one of Ashleys last appearances with Ben, he’s wearing a plain gray t-shirt and Ashley is wearing jean shorts, with a white and purple shirt.
Ben worked for Let it Ride Design in San Diego before going on the show. He has since left that company and moved back up to San Francisco and is focusing on the winery.”
Reality Steve just issued his Bachelorette Season 7 episode-by-episode spoilers, and we’re sad to learn that shady bachelor Bentley Williams ends up returning after he checks himself out of Chez Bachelorette. Why can’t anyone — especially the bad apples — ever just stay gone?
Here’s Steve’s ep-by-ep scoop — including elimination spoilers! — on Ashley Hebert’s dramatic “journey”:
