So You Think Can Dance’s Best Costumes of Season 7
There are many reasons why we tune in to So You Think You Can Dance week after week — the dancers, the choreography, the music, the judges — and thanks to costume designer, Soyon An, we can add amazing wardrobe to the list of SYTYCD treats.
Soyon has won two Emmys for Outstanding Costumes for a Variety or Music Program and Individual Achievement, taking the statue home in both 2009 and 2010. Here are our favorite looks from Soyon from Season 7 ... we can't wait to see what she has in store for Season 8!
5. "Scars": Robert Roldan and Dominic Sandoval
OK, so clowns are a little scary, but the costumes featured in this Nappytabs number are downright amazing. Like, for reals, we kinda want those jeans. Now.
4. "The Tahitian Dance": Lauren Froderman and Mark Kanemura
Is any commentary really necessary for the fantastic-ness of the costumes in this number from Tiana Liufau? So awesome! We so want to rock this look for our next Halloween party.
3. "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic": Top 6 and All-Stars
Allison Holker's bright pink tulle up against the rest of the dancers in intricate black-and-white patterns made for a stunning palette in this super cool Mia Michaels routine. Throw in a crazy light show and you've got ... magic!
Holy hotness, Lauren! This skin-tight, see-through, lacy black-widow number on Lauren had us running to the gym the next morning, not to mention Nigel going to his inappropriate place. Whoever thinks Lauren isn't capable of playing the seductress clearly needs to watch this sexified routine from choreographer Sean Cheesman ... yowzers!
1. "Fame": Top 11 and All-Stars
Wow, how cool were the costumes in this Wade Robson piece? Talk about tea-party chic ... love it! Dudes seriously need to start dressing like this more in real life.
