Whatever happened to going on The Bachelor or Bachelorette, getting dumped, going home, pretending you’re still heartbroken, and then dating people who feel sorry for you? It’s a time-honored tradition, people! Stop messing with it!
Contestants today have no patience. Chantal O’Brien is already engaged to the guy she met after coming home from The Bachelor Season 15. Stephen D’Amico has now upped the ante by revealing himself (through a friend) to be single just one day after the premiere of The Bachelorette Season 7. And, no, he wasn’t eliminated in the first Rose Ceremony.
“He’s happy to be set up on dates,” a source told Hollywood Life. “But he really wants to connect with the women on a deeper level. […] He’s really friendly, laid back, and a good listener. He likes to chill at the beach, go to low-key bars, and try out new projects. […] He had a long-term girlfriend before he went on the show, and hasn’t dated anybody seriously since then.”
Who is this friend pimping Stephen out to gossip sites? It’s nice of him or her to be supportive, but it’s probably not in line with ABC policy to be openly on the market while still dating the star of the show.
