So You Think You Can Dance

Best in Performance: Travis Wall

Earlier this week, we celebrated Travis Wall, the choreographer. Today, we're celebrating Travis Wall, the dancer, in our So You Think You Dance contestant spotlight.

The contemporary talent may not have won the title during Season 2, but runner-up is nothing to sneeze at. Nowadays, he's one of the most beloved and respected choreographers on the show.

Here are our Top 3 Performances from Travis, when we first fell in love with him. See if you agree!

3. "London Bridge" by Shane Sparks

When people think of Travis Wall, they immediately associate him with the contemporary style, but Travis is also an amazing hip hop dancer. This routine by Shane particularly showed off his skillz, as he kept up with hip hop specialist Donyelle Jones. Check them out rocking it to Fergie in their awesome hoodie costumes.

2. "Plaza of Execution" by Mary Murphy

Holy hotness! It's no secret that we're big fans of the fiery Paso Doble, and this was one of the most sizzlin' attempts from all seven seasons. We already knew about Travis's mastery of both contemporary and hip hop, but here, he adds ballroom to his list, alongside partner Heidi Groskreutz. So good!

1. "Calling You" by Mia Michaels

We know... surprise, surprise! Seriously, though, this Emmy-winning routine by Mia is truly a classic and it completely embodies what SYTYCD is all about: gorgeous dancers, storytelling, and innovative choreography. Watch Travis at his best with partner Heidi Groskreutz.
