Everything I Know About Life I Learned From Snooki
The cast of Jersey Shore has always gotten a lot of flack for being bad role models, poor representations of Italian-Americans, free and easy with their privates, etc. But if you look past all of their antics, you can actually learned a lot about life from the cast.
Snooki, for example, sometimes seems like she needs to get herself together, but she actually has a handle on some of life's most important lessons. Prepare to be dazzled by Snooki's faux pearls of wisdom.
5. Live by the Girl Code
Looking for love is important, sure. But who is there to hold back your hair when you puke, or fetch you fried pickles when you're down? Your girls, that's who.The loyalty you show your friends will come back tenfold because there is karma in the girl code. If you talk trash and try to hook up with your pals' sloppy seconds, one day you'll turn around and realize it's just you, alone with your Fossil watch. So be there when your friends need you and expect the same from them. Chicks before d—ks and all that.
4. Don't Give a Crap About What Other People Think
This one may occasionally get you in trouble, but for the most part it's a lesson in being true to yourself. Of the Jersey cast, Snooki has probably suffered the most abuse in the media, but she keeps doing her thing. And that's why she's working on side projects and is paid an obscene amount of money to show up at college campuses. Her haters can try to knock her down, but Snooki will never stop being true to Snooki.
One thing that makes Snooki so likable is her sense of whimsy. While it's important to work toward your goals, don't be afraid to indulge in the things that make you happy. If you want to make out with that hot guy at the bar or ride a carousel with your cooka hanging out, do it! You only live once.
2. Don't Be Afraid to Sob Uncontrollably
Snooki is not the type of person who's afraid to show her emotions or be vulnerable. You may end up putting your foot in your mouth, crying in front of a guys you like, or being brutally honest more often than not, but that's OK. Your friends will know that you're for real and the men you attract will like you for you — because if you're anything like Snooki, there is no hiding the real you.
1. When in Doubt, Add More Poof
Even if you don't have a poof, you can apply this metaphor to just about anything. The poof represents Snooki's zest for life. She believes that more is more — more tanning, more cleavage, more leopard print, more poof. For such a small gal, she makes a big impression. So never be afraid to kick things up a notch.
