It's been an interesting week for Mark Ballas. On the upside, he and fellow Dancing With the Stars pro Chelsie Hightower danced together at A Capitol Fourth on Independence Day. But on the downside, his grandfather George Ballas — inventor of the Weed Eater — just passed away at age 85, and on top of that, Mark just got slapped with a lawsuit from a former PR firm.
According to TMZ, Ace PR is suing Mark for allegedly not paying $2,637.75 he owed them after he fired them back in September. TMZ cited the legal docs where Ace claims Mark agreed to pay them a "30 day termination fee" when he signed the contract.
Here's the juicy part: Sources close to Mark tell TMZ that he doesn't think he owes Ace anything because they didn't live up to their end of the contract when they did such a terrible job. Ouch! Mark and the firm will sort this out in small claims court on July 8.
Talk about bad PR! And all for just over $2,600? Our solution: Make Bristol Palin pay. She was the one Mark had to deal with and defend last September on DWTS Season 11, so she owes him big.
