Scotty McCreery Feels the Pressure From Newfound Fame
Screaming fans, a crazy schedule, producers and talking in your ear — American Idol fame isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Scotty McCreery chatted with Taste of Country about missing some of the simpler things in life now that he’s a big country music star.
Scotty said, “It’s been crazy for me. I can’t go out to eat anymore without having to take pictures or sign autographs. It’s just, there is stuff I like to do, just the normal stuff, I can’t do anymore. I always have to make sure I’m careful and have a disguise or my hat down or something if I actually want to do something.”
We’re pretty sure Scotty wouldn’t change a thing about his Idol story, but for someone so used to a small town life, we can imagine this level of fame might be a bit strange. So if you ever run into Scotty grabbing burgers at the local McDonalds, just put down the camera and ease off the autograph requests.
