Well, that didn’t take too long! Bachelorette viewers just saw Ashley Hebert kick Ames Brown and his perma-smile to the curb after the Season 7 hometown dates. But despite his poetic exit speech (there’s no way he came up with that on the fly), he is far from devastated now.

As we now know, Ames was one of three Season 7 dumpees to get cast on Bachelor Pad Season 2. What you may not know is that he proceeds to get cozy with Jackie Gordon of The Bachelor Season 15. Yes, one of Ashley’s sister wives from Brad Womack’s harem.

What happens with Jackie and Ames is actually very sweet and shows the kind of romantic spontaneity Ames talked about with Ashley this season.

Here are the deets from Reality Steve’s BP2 spoilers about Episode 2:

At rose ceremony, Jackie is voted off. Ames, who has struck up a relationship with Jackie, walks her to her limo, then comes back to join the group. As the limo pulls away, in a scene that should be straight out of the ‘Notebook’ or something, Ames chases after the limo, gets in it, and leaves with Jackie so he can date her. And as you know, they are currently still dating.

More swoon-worthy scoop? Ames and Jackie spent a weekend together in Napa Valley after leaving the Bachelor Pad house. BP Season 2 kicks off on August 8 and that dramatic departure happens early in the second episode. If you’re itching for more, read our full rundown of BP2 spoilers.

Well, that’s one less Season 7 contestant in the running to be the next Bachelor!
