Abercrombie & Fitch Will Pay The Situation to Stop Wearing Its Clothes

The Situation may have the abs of an Abercrombie & Fitch model, but apparently his personal style is just not a match for the brand.

According to an Abercrombie & Fitch press release, the clothier is going to offer the Jersey Shore star big bucks to stop wearing their clothing! As the memo explains, the A&F bigwigs "are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino's association with [their] brand could cause significant damage to [their] image." And it's not just Sitch, they have "also extended this offer to other members of the cast."

This isn't the first time a brand has tried to disassociate itself from Jersey Shore. Last August, luxury handbag companies started sending Snooki their competitors' bags, the theory being that if Snooki was seen wearing it, all of the classy, desirable celebs would stop wanting it.

We get why a brand like Gucci would want to stay as far from the Shore as possible, but will mall preps really stop shopping at A&F just because the Situation is seen in their clothing? We're not really convinced this is a wise investment on the company's part, but we definitely won't blame the Macaroni Rascals if they take the offer. Getting paid to not do something is even easier than getting paid to party!
