UPDATE: The official cast for this season's Dancing With the Stars has just been announced, and Rob Kardashian will be joining the cast!
The Kardashians are all about keeping it in the family, and that includes their reality TV ventures outside their hit E! show.
While the official cast of this season’s Dancing With the Stars is yet to be confirmed by ABC, it’s been strongly hinted all over Hollywood that Kim’s little brother, Rob, will be following in her footsteps by sashaying his way across the dance floor.
When Wetpaint Entertainment asked Kim at the recent the Kardashain Kollection launch how she thought Rob would do, she replied quickly and noncommittally, “He’ll be better than I did!”
So we thought we’d get the scoop from the man behind Rob’s current kick-ass body, Beverly Hills trainer Gunnar Peterson. “Rob has been training with me, he’s really getting after it!” Peterson told Wetpaint Entertainment in an exclusive interview.
Gunnar — who also trains Kim, Khloe, and Kris, along with Hollywood’s hottest celebs and professional athletes — can’t confirm if Rob will be adding DWTS to his reality resume, but he’s definitely going to be fit enough for the grueling rehearsals if it’s true.
“He’s always been a workout guy, he was into basketball and running, and our training sessions have given him more structure and helped him take it to the next level,” explained Gunnar.
According to Rob’s Twitter page, the 24-year-old reality star and model has also taken up yoga. “Just did yoga with the most Beautiful Women. This is definitely my new favorite workout,” he tweeted last week.
So who should the Kardashian heir pair up with to maximize his chances of walking away with the coveted disco ball trophy? Bachelor star and former DWTS contestant Melissa Rycroft told Wetpaint Entertainment that she thought Cheryl Burke would be the perfect partner, but we’ve heard that Karina Smirnoff wants to snag the spot on Rob’s arm.
“I think it would be awesome. He’s fun, full of energy. I can definitely maneuver him into some very cool moves,” Smirnoff told OK! Magazine.
