Exclusive! JWOWW’s Stylist Gives an Inside Look at 2011 VMAs Outfit
Didn't Jersey Shore's JWOWW look phenomonal at the 2011 VMAs on Sunday night? Wetpaint Entertainment got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how JWOWW got dolled up for the big night from her personal stylist, Jeni Elizabeth. Read on for Jeni's personal account of how it all went down.
Working with Jenni Farley — or as everyone knows her, JWOWW — couldn’t be more of a rewarding experience for me as a stylist. She isn’t just my client, but has grown to become one of my closest friends. There isn’t a girl in the world that wouldn’t smile spending time with her and getting to know who she really is. When I think of Jenni, I think of style, class, dignity, and respect. This year, she has really matured in her style, and it’s been a blast and honor to help with that process. Last year after the 2010 Video Music Awards, Jenni was labeled “Best Dressed” by style guru Steven “Cojo” Cojocaru — so no pressure for this year, right?
It was important to me that Jenni touched on every trend of this season and topped it all off with glitz and glamour to “WOWW” everyone in her path like only she can do! Working with Jenni, I have learned that too much is never enough — so just when we thought we had enough diamonds, we added another one. For the 2011 VMAs, we had the honor of working with Alan Friedman Jewelers of Beverly Hills. It was with their help that we have honestly created what I think is Jenni’s best look to date.
This year, Jenni wore an amazing '70s-inspired silver sequin Jovani dress with diamond embellishment. Christian Dior is responsible for her amazing heels that add a dollop of glitz down to her toes! Alan Friedman was seamlessly able to elevate the ensemble even further with his incredible collection of diamonds for accessories. Plus, The Painted Nail’s Katie Cazorla from the TV Guide Network show Nail Files gave Jenni a perfect manicure to complete the look.
But no look would be complete without some arm candy, so we outfitted Jenni’s boyfriend Roger — who is one of my favorite people in the world — in an impeccable gunmetal silver Vinci suit. We continued the theme of diamonds with his blinged-out watch, skull cufflinks, and diamond chain.
All in all, I would say that diamonds are certainly JWOWW’s best friend this year!
