Modern Family Spoiler: A Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker Pre-Christmas Holiday!
ABC is sending us a double dose of Modern Familyholiday cheer this year with both a Thanksgiving and Christmas episode, and executive producer Christopher Lloyd promises the episodes will deliver lots of laughs.
"We have a Christmas show, which is actually set a couple weeks ahead of Christmas," Lloyd explained to TV Guide. "The family starts going over their various family plans. Mitch and Cam are going back to see his family, Jay and Gloria are heading out of town. They've all been under the assumption that there must be some day where they all overlap to celebrate Christmas, and they realize that day is today."
The families throw together an impromptu holiday, which Lloyd described as an "express Christmas." In haste, they scatter into pairs and gather decorations, a meal, and presents.
"It's pairings that we haven't seen very often before … It becomes a little bit of an examination of the family you're born with and the family you inherit, as depicted in these unusual pairings of characters."
It’s a Very Merry Christmas, as only the Pritchetts and Dunphys can do it!
